iPhone as a gaming platform

Ah the 90′s! Seal was in the charts and everyone wore grunge clothes! I was a typical youth and on my birthday I was given a red Nintendo Game Boy with Killer Instinct as a present from my parents. Yeah, I’m old, I know! This day started my fascination with hand held gaming. The games were so simplistic but it… Continue »

PlayStation Move

Last week we had the chance to leave our dungeon of an office at Shoryuken towers and visit a plush hotel conference room where Sony had set up a number of booths for the great unwashed journalist types of Ireland to go and shake controllers in front of webcams. Indeed, Sony had brought PlayStation Move to Ireland. On September 17,… Continue »

Can Apple save PC gaming?

Apple is a company with a fairly strong gaming past. In years bygone, companies like Bungie and iD were all about the Mac platform – showing up to keynote speeches and bombing terribly on stage as the press sat silent, wondering why these coder kids were being allowed to share the same stage space as Herr Jobs. Today, though, with… Continue »

Interview with Rory McIlroy

If I had a thousand words for the word gentleman I would use them all to describe Rory. He took everything in his stride yesterday at Kilarney Golf Club on his first day of practice. He came in and shook everyones hand and was eager to go. I was lucky enough to be part of the group that asked him a few… Continue »

Should you buy Deathspank?

Seeing as nothing free was coming my way this week, I decided to take my own awesome advice to purchase Deathspank at the weekend. I played it, a lot and still didn’t beat it so I won’t have a review up for a few days. I did however get very far into it and can verify that it is fabulously… Continue »

Even more traditional games like Geometry Wars have… Continue »
