ATI Radeon HD5970
My gaming PC is still rocking a HD4870, I think. The various models and numbers confuse the hell out of me.
Anyway, ATI have had their new card benchmarked and put to the test and, low and behold, they’ve beaten out the previous top-trumps winner, nVidias GTX295.
If all of these numbers are confusing you, then we’ll put it this way: the ATI card offers an increase of at least 10FPS in most games over the nVidia offering.
However, the nVidia card is mind blowingly good performance, and at this rate, the price tag of €430 (ish) is much more reasonable then the massive €550+ the ATI card seems to charge (configurations pending, etc.).
