Gears of War III

Rumours are today surfacing that the Epic games developed title for Microsoft starring Marcus “unnaturally large muscles” Fenix and his band of brothers are to return “soon” in the third installment. Not only that, the rumours floating around suggest a trailer will hit in April, and exclusive rights have been granted to our old chums at GTTV.

The game, according to “anonymous sauces sources” will be completed in 2010, but not released until 2011 to give Halo Reach some time in the spotlight. A move Microsoft will hope to use in order to spread the wealth a little over that time period.

  1. apart from Horde and about an hour of the story I thought the last game was a shame. (Can’t see how anyone stuck with the multiplayer even without the horrible after launch support for that gimpy matchmaking system it was pants) Hope gears 3 adds all the sfuff cliffy b says he wants in it. Ala Borderlands rpg esc elements and shooting. Also if weird green locust turn out to be just another flood I’m going to crack.

    Horde is still fun though, still jump in now and then.

  2. see also my post a few hours ago,
    Gears Of War 3: Unofficial release date.

  3. @TWHR: Yep, Gears2 was beautiful, but buggy and had nasty online (as did Gears1).

    @zykkon: Didn’t notice that, woops!
