MAG European Relase Date confirmed
Sony today announced that Zipper Interactive’s shooter/MMO MAG will hit retail stores on January 29th.
Sony will be hoping that the lukewarm reaction to the troubled Beta wont stop gamers from reaching in to their pockets at the end of a very busy gaming month.
Personally I’m really looking forward to the game but will be keeping a very close eye on review scores and user feedback a few days after launch. Unfortunately as great a concept as the game is, its hard not to approach it with a degree of caution after the problems the Beta has had.
Most MMO’s will launch with some teething issues so it would be naive to think that such a high concept product would be any different. Its not that I wont buy the game its just that this title may need the time to evolve into its full potential and hopefully the comunity will stay long enough to let Zipper do that.
I've not had time to play beta, what were the issues?
Server unavailable errors all the time. Takes days to download the updates/lag, lots of ''meh'' comments from people expecting COD. Saying that though, there are plenty of people in the opposite camp – I'm more worried about the technical issues and updates.
twas ambitious but I like that, better than churning out the same thing with an extra layer of polish. hopefully this will get sorted and we can enjoy some mega battles.
does anyone care though? battlefield is coming!
Running for 2 minutes to fight, only to be killed by 20 hiding snipers, and then having to wait 20 seconds, only to have to run again put me right off
