Microsoft sued over Xbox Live Points System
The Live points system has been a bone of contention for some time, but a US-based solicitor is taking Microsoft to court over fraudulent handling of the points system.
The primary argument refers to the fact that most users appear to think they buy 100 points for every $1, which is not an accurate assessment. On top of that Microsoft only sell “blocks” of points, thus leaving most users with extra points left over.
Microsoft have yet to respond to the lawsuit. But we’ll keep you posted…

i hope this gets resolved.had 230mp this morning and was forced to buy 600mp in order to buy the AC2 DLC : ( considerable anger!
Yeah, I always just buy in blocks of 4200, just so I don't have to keep buying small installments. Also easier to “plan” your purchases. They need to switch to a PSN-style “normal currency” model. Makes far more sense, and is cheaper to run I imagine.
I agree but PSN also has a slight issue in that you can't just add any amount.
