Sep 01, 10 Nex Xbox controller addresses D pad issue

Major Nelson has revealed the latest Xbox 360 controller on his blog, along with some aesthetically changes comes the very cool ”transforming D pad”. I’ll let him take over, watch the video below.

In addition to the new d-pad, the matte silver controller also features concave analog sticks and gray A,B,X,Y buttons for added style.

The controller will only be available with the new Play & Charge Kit that will launch on November 9thfor US $64.99.

  1. Interesting move. One of the huge strengths in the Xbox is that the controller is so far & beyond anything Sony has at the minute it’s scary. All of these pushes towards Move and Kinect, when all I want is to use a good controller. Xbox is a good controller, it’d be nice for Sony to use some of that Move R&D to make a proper “main” control device…

  2. Surely controllers depends on your type/size of your hands, I personally prefer the Sony controller, probably because it’s been the same thing for 3 generations, my hands are used to it, first time I picked up a 360 controller, I was cramping up after 30 mins.
