Something’s going on…
Sony’s PR folk in Ireland have done something unusual – and no one knows why, not yet anyway. A giant egg was placed in Portabello this morning, and then managed to travel it’s way mysteriously to the hallowed halls (or, outside them) of DIT Aungier St., where it was cracked open.
What’s inside? Well we don’t know yet, and if you do please let us know in the comments. It’s something to do with the launch of the PS3 slim apparently, but we don’t really know what’s inside the egg and what the egg symbolises just yet.
The egg has been spotted around Dublin today but we’re told by a little birdie that the egg will be around in secret locations tomorrow, too. What will be revealed? Well, hopefully not a disastrous mess… because that’s what a normal egg would produce. That was more factual then funny…
Day two edit:
So a few more eggs have been spotted around Dublin. Notably in Phibsboro, where the egg was smashed open and inside a lucky bugger got their hands on something… slim. Culch.ie are being a little more cryptic about the event, but we’re crass folk over on this side of the internets, so we’ll just show you what’s inside….

They look to be reading the text on the box rather then getting overly excited at the picture of what's inside
So, after this mornings outing I can hint at the next location. It may be on a street in Dublin. Southside. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to announce it directly (like I did on twitter prematurely earlier) but the hint is that it’s the street where Grogan’s pub resides, between Enfo and St. Stephen’s Green.
…If you don’t know where that is, then god help you. Unless you’re not local. Then consult google maps
Happy hunting, folks!
