The Ubisoft DRM virus is spreading…
With all the recent fiasco regarding Ubisoft’s new “constant connection” DRM for Assassins’ Creed 2 on PC, you’d think they’d get the picture and try to find something else to use instead? Seems not. Noticing the R.U.S.E beta appearing in my Steam games library, going straight to the store page for the game itself on Steam, shows that it too will be afflicted with this new DRM.
The Steam forums are already alight with people complaining of the fact that the DRM will be in the game. It remains to be seen how this will affect sales of the game, and possibly the numbers of players taking part in the beta.
