World of Goo birthday

To celebrate their birthday, 2Dboy – developers of World of Goo – are offering their wonderful game for $0.01. Yes, that’s 1c… or, whatever you feel the game is worth. In a rather Radiohead-ish move, the team are offering you the chance to pay whatever you like for the game all week.

Anything you do pay, though, goes directly to the developers… no one else!

If you’re unaware of the game, it’s a 2D puzzler where your mission is to build a way for little blobs of goo to get to the suction tank at the end of the level. Using the goo themselves, you can construct physics-based bridges to get from one end to the other. As the game goes on it gets much harder as they introduce new obstacles and puzzling scenarios.

So go on, give it a go. Download the demo and try before you buy. $10 seems fair in a PSN/Xbox Live dominated world, don’t you agree?
